MFA THESIS WEEK6

I think these two reference are the type of mud I refer to

Comments from Professor Fowler: For the visual - sim time are expected to be long - optimize by deleting unnecessary attributes - that will at least cut the write time and cache size which might speed it up.
Reduce the size of the building based on your references as discussed. Make sure when you surface the points you maintain a sense of scale - right now it appears more like chocolate sauce. Would be good to post those surfacing tests here. They pyro one, although wrong looking, gives a better sense of scale. Warning - surfacing points will also take time to compute.

Comments from Professor Gaynor:

  • The mountain seems to be eroding from the top rather than seeing the side of the mountain giving way. IT's almost like a lava flow rather than a mud flow.

  • The scale of the motion feels more like a tidal wave rather than a mud slide.

  • Consider a first pass render on one of these shots. Seeing the lighting and particles in their rendered form may change how we feel about the scale, but more than likely it is moving too fast.

  • I don't care for the angled buildings I'd rather them feel like the are level and collapsing instead of on a angle.  Show the motion of the collapse.
